Our Solutions to Happy Halves

Happy Halves

Each of these images shows squares split in half. How can you check that each is correct? How can you convince someone that each is split in half?

We think.......

"These are halves because they are shared equally. Both halved are the same size" - Mesepa, Tehillah, Akesa & Cephas

"First we thought that these are not halves but then we used papers and cut them into pieces and put the shapes as shown in the picture. Then we all agreed after measuring the shapes we could see that they were equally cut into halves." - Taylen Setu Abrielle & Antonia
