In the first week of holidays we organised Maths program for children. This was run by special Maths teachers from Massey university to support children with Maths learning. It started from 3rd October till 7th October. Children had so much fun and they loved coming and learning to solve problems in Maths in a more collaborative way.
Including others, team work, asking questions to clarify, justifying answers, explaining using Mathematical representations, learning to solve maths problems using more than one way has been a major focus during these sessions. This has helped children develop communication and participation skills in Mathematics.
